Readings: John 4: 1-30
Our task in the coming season: listen for the Spirit to teach us about how to be faithful followers of Jesus in the ordinary, but difficult times in which we live. The challenging days in which we live are nothing new: listen to this prayer from The Dark Ages (7th century). Hear us O never-failing …
Let him who has ears . . . Jesus knew exactly that the vast number of people who heard him, did not have ears to hear. They had ears to filter and manage him according to their present bent of their heart.
Humanity is not a human project. Humanity is God's project.
