CHILDREN & YOUTH

CHILDREN & YOUTH

Holy Trinity’s ministry to children and youth is a ministry of faithful presence and worship. We invite children into sacred spaces where they experience the presence of God in their lives and in the world, and enjoy worshipping God together.

We partner with parents to invite children into the domestic church (the sacred space of the family), we welcome children to participate in the community of faith (the sacred space of the Church), and we teach children to inhabit the biblical story through a formational and age-appropriate curriculum (the sacred space of the Atrium).

NURSERY

We offer baby and toddler (ages 0 – 2) care during Sunday services. The nursery room is always supervised by two trained adults, whose role is to foster a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for each child.

CHILDREN

Children (grades K – 5) participate in the beginning of the worship service; after receiving a blessing, they are guided to the sacred space of the atrium. While the adults listen to the sermon, the children are invited to know God through the stories of the Bible and to creatively and personally respond to his Word and Spirit. Then children join their parents in the worship service for the Eucharist (the church family meal and celebration).

YOUTH

Youth (grades 6 – 12) are invited to explore the Christian faith within an intergenerational community of faith. They study and discuss the significance of the Bible for every area of their life, engage in catechetical formation, and grow in relationship with one another through fellowship and fun. Our desire is to see every student formed in the image of Christ, in community with each other, for the sake of others.

SAFETY

At Holy Trinity Church, your child’s safety is our priority. We have a “team teacher” policy: a team of two or more adults are present to lead and supervise children and youth at all times. Our childcare workers, leaders, volunteers and staff undergo safety protocols including training, fingerprinting and background checks, and ensure best safety practices are followed each Sunday. We want to foster an environment of hospitality, nurture, and joy, where each person feels at home and able to grow.
