Reading: Genesis 17:9-14 and John 7:14-24
- God affirms his covenant with Abraham and to his offspring in Genesis 17. Circumcision was the sign of the covenant, a cutting away of the flesh. Consider as you read Gen.17:9-14 what the sign spiritually points to.
- Listen in on Jesus’ conversation with the people gathered to celebrate the feast days from John 7:14-24. What is Jesus asking of or offering to those who are listening? If you were among those listening, what might you be thinking or feeling as you listen?
- Ask God, “What truth about Jesus might I consider taking with me into my day?”
