Tom Wright has said: heaven and earth are not far removed from one another but rather are OVERLAPPING, INTERLOCKING SPHERES of God’s good creation. God is close (not far off in the distance) as close to us as our own BREATH itself. Breath is a part of the way God is present to us. As God said to Ezekiel: I will put breath in you, and you will come to life (Ezk. 37:6).

Many want connection with God, but so much seems aligned against it.

  • Are you stressed? Anxious? Take a quiet mid-week retreat.
  • Do you find the world’s problems overwhelming? Join us for some thoughtful considerations.
  • Does human life seem increasingly ugly? Experience the beauty of S A C R E D, an evening chapel at Vanguard University for beauty, presence, and life.

Discover that God is as near to us as our own breath.
