Season of Ordinary Time

See...Hear...Believe
One can see a piece of art and be unmoved. One can hear a song and not sing along. John wanted readers to hear the teachings of Jesus. He wanted them to notice Jesus’ miracles and…to believe. This season of Ordinary Time we are engaging in the most ordinary of all Christian spiritual practices: we are reading The Gospel of John together as a community of faith. But we are not just reading. We seek belief that displays itself in trusting Jesus in conversion and in mature followership. (Archive)

REFLECTION QUESTION:
Perhaps this week could be a week of study, of thinking, of contemplation? Maybe like Nicodemus you know quite a bit about Jesus but there remain some questions, something that you just can’t figure out about him? Take the time this week, with a joyful, child-like, open mind to study it. (Talk to someone—like Todd or Beth, Dennis or others—if you would like some help.)
